Registering a domain name under .qa, .com.qa, .net.qa, .name.qa and قطر has been made easy by the Qatar Domains Registry. Most domain names can be registered through one of our accredited registrars. To register a domain name, please follow the steps given below:

1. Search to see if the name you would like is available using the ‘Find Your Domain’ tool.
2. If the name is unavailable, enter a new name and search again until you find an available domain.
3. If the name is available, choose an approved registrar to secure your domain.

If you are a governmental, educational, not-for-profit, or military institution and wish to register a domain name with extensions such as .gov.qa, .mil.qa, .edu.qa, .sch.qa, and .org.qa, please follow the steps below:

1. Search to see if the name you would like is available using the ‘Find Your Domain’ tool.
2. If the name is unavailable, enter a new name and search again until you find an available domain.
3. If the name is available, send your domain name request along with the necessary supporting documents to the Qatar Domains Registry at the Communications Regulatory Authority.

The following supporting documents are required:

– Certificate of Incorporation (for org.qa, sch.qa and edu.qa extensions).
– A letter duly signed by the relevant government authority (for gov.qa and mil.qa extensions).
